God has always used our family to reach others. Most of the time it is our children's friends that we end up reaching out to. I find that I have more of an impact on my children's generation than I do my own generation. The reason why I find this to be real is because many of them are still children trying to be adults in an unforgiving world. They are still children in spirit, because no one's taken the time to nurture them in they that they should have been nurtured.
The weekend proved to be a very strong witnessing tool. Allow me to explain. Of course there is more to the story than what I'm writing here, but I only want to show how God uses His people in very practical ways.
All I did was invite a young lady who is best friends with our daughter in law to church. We've know this young lady for some time, but I've just recently gotten to know her know a little better. Everyone was talking and many conversations were taking place. She was sitting and I was standing next to her. I leaned over, hugged her, and whispered an invitation to church in her ear. I was only talking to her, but that was all it took. The whole house started buzzing about church.
Confessions were made, life stories were shared , briefly and the admission of "I know I need to go"; "I know I need to change". 9This is how you know God is at work in someone's life. This was not by accident or coincidence that we should all be under the same roof at just the right time. God's time is always right on time if you open yourself and allow Him to use you.) And for the rest of the time we conversed here and there.
But here's where it the conversation really came alive with the Spirit of God.

As everyone was preparing to leave my daughter in law chimes in and begins giving her testimony and witnessing to her own best friend about what she's discovered by going to church with us. She begins telling her friend about the feeling that comes over you that makes you cry for no reason and you don't even know why you're crying. And she goes on to tell her, "But at the same time there is laughter and joy and the message is not boring ."
So after that she ends with "I tell you what, let me know when you want to go and I'll go too, with you."
Now I'm just standing there, listening, watching God move and totally amazed by what I'm witnessing. My daughter in law was being a witness to her own best friend. I really had no idea that it touched her so deep. And the great thing about it was how much joy and conviction she was speaking with in explaining our church to her friend. (This family people.)
Then to top it all off, son #1, who hasn't been to church in a long time, goes to his father first and says he wants to go to church with next week. Then he comes to me and says, "Mommy, I'm going to church with you and daddy next week." I said "Okay!?" while trying to figure out where this was coming from all of a sudden. (Again another story for another time.)
And so with all that, not sure how we're going to get everyone there, but this was the hand of God moving on and through my family. He will provide away!
But the main reason I am writing this is because of my conversation with the fiancé of our daughter in law's friend. During the conversations I was having with him he made some confessions; and by his confessions a lot was revealed in the spirit. He was really thankful and grateful that we extended the invitation to come to church because he was looking.
What amazed me was that he knows very strongly about the spiritual reality of salvation, but as he said, "I don't know the Word that well or enough about it to do any good." (Wow! God is so awesome even as I'm typing this out.) It was kind of strange,( but strange I'm use to) but I understood the code language he was speaking. (There's not many who can understand in the spirit.)
